Amazing sunrise and beach views and location. Fantastic service.

Got off to a bad start. We arrived at 11am. Yes. We know that’s way too early to check in but the promised “we will call/text” when the room is ready never happened. At all. At 4:00pm we walked back in, no apology for no notification. Our beach front room was hardly that. The lighting system is ridiculous. Yep we are tech savvy boomers but that was just rubbish. Whatever happened to an on and an off switch, and the louvred toilet door, cmon people. Elected not have the bed made up on the second night but that was ignored. It was done anyway. Breakfast was really good. Staff were lovely. Food was fabulous. Was so looking forward to Rick Steins restaurant, it was fine just not amazing. Location is perfect, great little coffee shop on the opposite corner, beautiful swimming at patrolled beach was wonderful. Location and coffee is why i would return. Staff were falling over themselves for conference attendees, not so the oldies who pay for their own rooms and yes it expensive. Unfortunately there is not much else to choose from in the area. Disappointing stay.

An amazing location only 1 minute walk from the beach. A very nice service desk manger upgraded the room so we sat in bed looking at the sea. Beautifully equipped sauna area so tried the various saunas- highly recommended. Buffet breakfast had enough variety for our 4 days. Rick stein restaurant on ground floor - delicious food and average ambience. Love Coogee and would definitely stay here again
