Sydney G'Day Hostel

Feels more like a boarding school than a holiday. The walls and doors are plastered with rules and warnings everywhere, making the entire experience an audhd hellscape. Not only that, it is not wheelchair accessible. There is a bathroom where the toilet and shower doors open on to each other and you can get stuck. I was planning on staying longer but I do not feel comfortable here at all.

Comfortable stay with a great location and good value for money. Was very happy with the free pancake breakfast! Cleanliness was also pretty good. The only improvement I would suggest is having more showers given there are so many guests.

The hostel is truly a dream. I was warmly welcomed by Liam and his team, who made me feel at home right away. The staff is super friendly and always there to help with questions or tips about the area. What I loved most was the amazing atmosphere – open, social, and full of good vibes. Summer House organizes fun events every evening, like BBQs, movie and game nights. It’s a great way to meet people from all over the world and never feel alone, even if you’re traveling solo. The rooms are comfortable and the whole place is kept clean and tidy. You can tell the team really cares about the guest experience. There’s also a nice common area and a kitchen if you want to cook for yourself. The location is great – close to public transport and not far from the main sights, but still quiet enough at night. All in all, I had a fantastic stay. It felt more like a home than just a place to sleep. I can only highly recommend Summer House and would definitely come back!
