The Fishbourne

we recently visited the Fishbourne inn for dinner. we had a "price is wight" voucher which was 2 steaks for £35 instead of £24 each. on the menu is states that the steak comes with mushrooms and tomato, the only extra was onion rings. however our steak arrived with only peas and chips no mushrooms or tomato. when i asked the waitress she said it was because we were on the deal. i think this is penny pinching, it cost pence to put tomato and mushrooms on thr plate, especially as this is stated on the menu.

A good location adjacent to the Fishbourne Ferry , adequate food but appalling service . Not unfriendly but indifferent . We were the only group in the restaurant but had to approach the staff for service on every occasion - and ended up clearing our own table and collecting our coffee. Three staff members - who appeared to spend most of the time speaking to each other. They must rely on their location alone . Disappointing .

Had a voucher for steak dinner for two which was extremely good value .... food, drinks and atmosphere all added up to a lovely experience. Steak was extremely well cooked as were all the accompaniments ... delicious New Forest ice-cream for dessert. Bitter shandy and a Pimms completed a lovely summer dinner :-) Comfortable surroundings with a variety of choices for seating .... toilets on same level clean and fresh. Will definitely be back!!
