Lilianfels Resort and Spa - Bl

8 of us had high tea there last weekend for $80 (excluding alcohol) a person and service was dreadful. They couldn't workout which dish was what and took ages to serve the sweet section i think they forgot about us. Left the dirty dishes from the first round in the table while serving the next. We had to stack the dishes and ask them to take them. Very over priced experience.

We booked into Lilianfels so we could take our time and enjoy a couple of days in the Blue Mountains rather than doing a day trip out of Sydney. The hotel had to close for renovations and it was too late to book anything else in Katoomba so we were put up in their sister property the Hydro Majestic one town over. While not as nice as Lilianfels, management did a number of things to take care of us and ensured we had a memorable stay.

The main advantage with this hotel is the location. Right by the trail heads for all the blue Mountain hikes also next-door to a good restaurant, Echoes.
