Slept 2 nights in this old hotel in Katoomba. Own parking lot and you are quickly at Scenic World by car. Nice bed and shower and hand shower. What a small room. Good restaurants are nearby.

Lovely period features throughout, cosy fire for drinking cocktails, good value breakfast. Great location near station and plenty of eateries. Stayed in the cheapest room which had good clean facilities but a little compact.

This was our third stay at the Metropole. We enjoyed our break; however there were a couple of things that could have been better. The TV was absolutely terrible. Time lags and screen freezing. The EKA brand belongs in a council rubbish pick up. The first couple of times we stayed at the Metropole, the bathrooms were a decent and workable size. The room number 29 we stayed in this time had a minuscule bathroom that was very difficult to use. Absolutely terrible really and has put us off staying there again, which is a shame as there is so much we do like about the hotel.
