Peppers Bale Salt Resort

This hotel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any hotel in my life. Staff are incredibly rude and treat guests as if they are unwanted and a bother to them. One girl with curly working in the bar during an event was consistently rolling her eyes and being incredibly rude to guests. A barista also told us it is not her job to provide a napkin to clean a spill she had made over the side of the cup so she just handed it over dirty and we had to find our own napkins. The service is not just bad it is absolutely horrendous and I don’t understand how you have people like this working in customer facing roles. This hotel should really review the type of people they have as the face of their hotel. During the stay we were also served raw chicken. This is not even close to being a 5 star hotel. Stay away and save your money!

Not a great experience. Room was very dated and holes in the walls. Mould on the blinds. Chairs severely damaged. The lovely girl at the front had most of it rectified. A lot of construction going on so it would have been nice for that to reflect in the price. Won’t stay here again.

Requested a disability‑friendly room but was allocated the room furthest from the elevator — easily 100 metres from the lift. For guests with mobility challenges, this made every trip to and from the room unnecessarily difficult. The room itself was poorly equipped: no table, desk, or chairs, and two very small single beds. The design feature of a window between the bedroom and bathroom meant the entire room lit up whenever someone used the bathroom at night, making restful sleep impossible. The conference food was extremely disappointing, well below the standard expected for an event of this scale. Overall, the accommodation failed to meet even basic expectations, let alone the standard expected of a resort of this calibre — particularly when hosting older guests with mobility needs.
