Hunter Resort

Everything great, room, food, location, loved it.

All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious with an extremely comfortable bed, plenty of hanging space and a decent sized bathroom. There was plenty of parking just outside the rooms. It was a short walk to the on-site tavern where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner each day. There was a good choice on both menus, the food was excellent and well priced. We also enjoyed the wine talk and video, along with the tasting. It would also be great for families as there are several activities available on site and lots of farm animals. Overall a really relaxing and pleasant stay!

We were thrilled to be returning to Hunter Valley Resort & Farm. We'd been in the area about 6 weeks before and spent a lot of time there, so this time around we stayed. It reminded me somewhat of being on a cruise. When you're on a cruise the staff essentially dote on you and remember who you are. They're always warm and friendly. That is exactly what it was like for us and why we decided to stay onsite. We certainly got good value for money on our accommodation and the room was perfect for our needs. The food however is the biggest attraction. We ate almost every meal there, and it was only because they were booked out for lunch (and so they should be) that we ended up elsewhere. Even the fussy eater between our group was more than happy. The environment and the staff are a testament to the leadership from Philip the owner. I always say that attitude flows from the the top and you can tell how happy people are to be working there even when they were stretched to the limit that weekend. Well done to you all.
