We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. It is situated in Sydney CBD close to trains, cafes, restaurants and parks. We would definitely recommend it and hopefully we will be back some day!

The location is great, close to everything!!! Great for walking around Sydney. Classic atmosphere, historic, Masonic!! I loved it. Excellent value for money. Small room, but you don't need more.

After a thorough search on hotels that still care for the old world charm and understated elegance in the face of modernity, Castlereagh Boutique Hotel is the one place for those who share the same eye for beauty, warmth, and comfort—all at the heart of Sydney. It stands proudly in a walking distance from all the shops you need. This makes going to and fro easy and accessible. The hospitality staffs were friendly and welcoming. It was lovely to witness people taking pride and joy in what they do. I didn’t dine much at the hotel since I wanted to try out local cuisine, but on the few times that I did, the food was splendid: chicken with pepper sauce & roasted vegetables was my favourite, and the chocolate crème brûlée was just beautiful. This makes my experience the merrier. I just adore the interior design: the perfect warm lighting that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in the hospital ward. The gentle sound of jazz playing in the background blends beautifully with the quiet environment and hushed tones. Lastly, my thanks to the housekeeping team because they leave your things just as is while cleaning everything else (or as you specify on the notepad). I am definitely coming back to make my home when in Sydney next time.
