We booked a Family Room (Q+3, 2-bedroom) at Marco Polo Motor Inn for our crew and advised in advance that there would be multiple occupants. The room was clean on arrival; however, the overall standard of service was well below what was advertised and expected. Only one toilet roll was provided, soap dispensers were partially filled, and despite the listing stating “daily housekeeping,” no servicing occurred during the stay. There were no fresh towels, no replenishment of basic amenities and no bed making. Rubbish was also not removed at any point, with only a small bin provided and no additional bags, requiring our team to manage the rubbish themselves. Based on the level of service received, the property does not meet the standard expected of a 3-star rating. Due to the lack of service, the team left a day early, meaning we paid for a night we did not use. We will not be returning and would strongly suggest others consider this before booking.

⭐ Worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The WiFi didn’t work at all, and when we asked at reception we were completely dismissed and told it was “fine.” It absolutely wasn’t. The hotel advertises BBQ facilities, so we bought fresh meat specifically to cook — only to discover the BBQs don’t work. A complete waste and very disappointing. There is also a dog that lives on-site and barked frequently, which made it hard to relax. We attempted to raise all of these issues with the manager, but he continually spoke over the top of us and refused to acknowledge any of the problems we experienced. Overall, a very poor experience and we definitely would not stay here again.

As per the title, we stayed one night at short notice after an issue with our original accommodation plans. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room ws clean, quiet and comfortable. Tiled floor in the bathroom was a little rough and dated, but clean. The shower head and toilet were recently updated and perfect. Beds were firm, but comfortable, everything had a great night's sleep. Complimentary pod coffee machine was a pleasant surprise and very welcome. Will definitely stay again the next time we're coming through Taree!
