Best Western Kennedy Drive Motel

My second stay here Samantha at reception made sure my check in was so smooth and effective even moving me to a ground floor room which helped me so much as I’m a road trip to sort out my luggage in the car. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi worked so well on the TV and laptop. Bathroom was more spacious than the room itself and shower had excellent water pressure. A suggestion I love to make is put up some extra hooks on the walls always handy. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

We stayed at this motel on the 23-25 Jan 2026.After leaving the hotel we noticed charges on are credit card for the mini bar(which we didn’t use) they tried to take multiple transactions which ended up getting our credit card blocked.we got $6 back but are now fighting to get $50 back.The management said they would refund this wrongful transaction but two weeks later still no refund ,so we have put it in the hands of our credit card company.The point is this all happened after I left a positive review but obviously my updated review will massively negative DEFINITELY WOULD’NT STAY AGAIN

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Kennedy Drive Airport Motel was truly awful and worth warning others about. When I arrived, check-in was supposed to be available between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM. I got there just before 9:00 PM to find no one on site and no clear check-in process. After calling the number provided, I was told I needed to pay a bond, which was never mentioned anywhere in the listing or the welcome pack. After waiting around 45 minutes outside the property, I eventually gave up waiting for help and paid the bond just so we could get into the room. The communication with the hosts, Tom and Isabella, was extremely poor. They were dismissive, condescending, and unapologetic, even when I politely raised concerns about the confusion and poor communication. The situation escalated even further after my stay. I left a fair but honest review reflecting the experience — and within 10 minutes of posting it, I was hit with a $205 charge to my card. I was never told what it was for until I disputed it and received a one-word reply: “Minibar.” We did not use the minibar, and this charge was clearly retaliation for leaving an honest review. Airbnb Support confirmed the payment was made outside their system and have been reviewing the case, but nearly two weeks later, I’m still fighting to get the money back. The whole experience — from the lack of transparency, rude communication, and vindictive behaviour — made what should’ve been a simple weekend stay an extremely stressful experience during my holiday. If you have any other options or even a slightly higher budget, do not stay here. The accommodation itself was fine, but the way I was treated by the hosts was completely unacceptable. If I could give zero stars, I would.
