Chifley Alice Springs Resort

Very, very disappointed indeed I often go to Mercure hotels and here we are far from the French standard, it looks like the lowest end of Ibis and even then... Large room but damaged walls, bathroom not clean, chipped paint a cool reception desk Be careful regarding the shuttle that is advertised on the Accor site you have to book it on a site, in short, you might as well take a taxi on the positive side, the catering does not do too badly despite a very dirty state of cleanliness in front of the customer, ovens and stoves should be scrubbed good breakfast

Keen staff doing a good job in a rather tired place with rooms in urgent need of a refresh. Cold and unwelcoming accommodation block contrasts with modernised reception and restaurant/bar. Continental breakfast option is not bad and dinner menu OK. Dinner portions are generous if you dine there - you may find an “entree” is enough.

My husband and I last stayed at this resort way back in 2018, and while the place seemed a little worn after all these years, we enjoyed our one night stay here just as much as before. Our King room was so spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with a stunning picture of the Devil's Marbles spread out over the bed. On arrival, the friendly staff person upgraded us so that we could enjoy a tasty, free breakfast buffet in their restaurant the next morning. Best of all, the resort is in a terrific location, close to the downtown area and Olive Pink Botanical Garden, a jewel of a park inhabited by rock wallabies, euros, and many birds. If our travels ever bring us back to Alice Springs, we will stay here again!
