Value Inn

The room we booked was on the day they was drilling the walls to put air conditioning in. The reception did not tell us about it. We travelled from mount isa Queensland long hours and wanted to rest but the drilling in the wall right next to our room gave us more sleep deprivation.

I didn't have the chance to stay here as after having a confirmed booking with them for 3 months I suddenly got an email saying my reservation was canceled. No reason given. Not impressed that this can happen. Now I have to scramble to try and find somewhere else within my budget and only a month before I need to be there.

I'm a traveler from Perth who has stayed twice previously with absolutely no complaints. However on the night of the 5th of august I had the misfortune of stay in a room that smelt of wet dog and a mattress that was closer to a bag of sticks that a mattress. Whilst I understand it is budget accommodation the price had nearly doubled from my previous 2 visits which were both dry season visits. Would have loved to discuss my experience with the lady on duty but her 10min phone call was more important than a paying customer in front of her. I left and sadly never to return
