Airlie Apartments Airlie Beach

Wow! Very clean, very comfortable, very close to town 700 meters. Views are amazing and sunsets are the best Ive ever seen. Simply- I’ll be back! Airlie is a bucket list must.

Average at best - but wouldn’t rush back. On check in, we were told there was an issue that they needed to speak to the owner about but no idea what it was etc. The individual seemed confused and unable to do anything without checking with the owner. We were told on check in that we had booked a 1 bed but they only had 2 beds available so had locked a room so we couldn’t enter. Not an issue, but just a bit petty given we are paying guests! On getting our keys, the apartment was ok - very dated and in need of a refresh. Bathroom was unfortunately not clean to a good standard and the shower leaked every time we used it. We were given two towels with no additional extras. Given it was over Christmas, reception was shut and we were staying 5 days you’d expect a fresh set of towels given it’s a beach location and we were showering often! Rest of the apartment ok overall. If you’re looking for a cheap stay in a good location this is exactly your spot but don’t expect too much. P.s. there is a VERY steep hill to walk up to get to the apartment.

I stayed for 5 nights and six days. On checking in both Cathy and Ana were great, Cathy gave me great local knowledge even before I got to my room. My room had a glimpse view of the sea and it was fabulous. Its location is close enough to walk to the shops and the lagoon but far enough away to not have to experience the noise. I would go back there tomorrow and would be my first choice of accommodation at Airlie, it is not over priced like some of the other places. .
