Absolutely disgusting experience. My family and I left horrified. We have photographic, video, and text evidence of both the unacceptable room conditions and the way we were treated, which will be shared if necessary. While we understand that a cyclone caused a power outage, the state of the rooms was completely unacceptable. Ant infestations made some bedrooms unusable, and the bug screen doors had large holes (photos attached). When we politely raised these issues the first night, the owner texted back claiming he had “never seen any ants.” The next morning, after finding the rooms still uninhabitable, we went to reception—and he laughed in our faces after we told him we had to sleep in the car. This was after paying nearly $700. Such behavior is beyond disrespectful. The manager, Steve, then told my 75+ year-old father to “f* off” immediately**, without any provocation, twice. This behaviour is shocking, humiliating, and entirely unacceptable. Do not stay here. Ever. The facilities are inadequate, the service is appalling, and the staff should never interact with paying guests.

Zero stars wouldn’t even explain this stay. This was an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience. We lost power for an entire day and night during a cyclone, which we understood was outside of the owner’s control. We remained patient and reasonable and simply tried to raise concerns about the lack of power, air conditioning, and food spoiling in the fridge while we were unable to leave due to the weather. On top of this, there was a colony of flying ants throughout the apartment, including the bedroom, which made the accommodation untenable. As a result, we had no choice but to sleep in our car instead of the apartment we had paid for. When we raised these issues, the owner was completely unwilling to work with us or offer any form of assistance or resolution. He told us there was no one else we could speak to and showed no interest in addressing the situation. When we informed him that we were forced to sleep in the car due to the bugs, his response was simply “oh well,” demonstrating a complete lack of care or concern. He also attempted to blame us by claiming we had not closed the doors, which was untrue. When my father-in-law attempted to calmly speak with the owner to help resolve the situation — making it clear he was not there to argue — the owner immediately told him to “f*ck off.” When my father-in-law reiterated that he was only trying to resolve the issues, the owner again told him to “f*ck off” and to get out. While we were understanding of the cyclone and its impacts, the owner’s behaviour was unprofessional, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. The lack of basic respect, accountability, and willingness to assist turned an already difficult situation into an appalling experience. We would not stay here again and would not recommend this property based on how guests are treated when issues arise. Throughout our stay we attempted to communicate with the sea star team, even over trying to attempt to get the WiFi we were treated as invalids. I attempted to message and call the manager over these issues with the bugs, cockroaches and he continued to ignore me and berate me when I attempted to speak to him in person.

Mildew throughout the unit showers and toilets never ever been cleaned. Aircondioner don't work . Smoke/ Fire Alarms don't work No Smoke/Fire Alarm in one bedroom at all. Intercom between ground floor and unit don't work Showers dirty filthy never cleaned. Fire hazard You want photos just ask What makes it even worse is the manager just don't care
