Access to the keys was easy and clear. The appartment was located very conveniently and was spacious. Some basic household consumables such as coffee pads, sugar, toilet paper, washing and dishwashing soap were provided. The view was splendid. The property was only cleaned in the "visible" spaces, but under the beds, on top of the fridge, on the glass of the cooker hood. etc. one could write in the dust. Also in and below the washing machine and dryer dust was flying around. Some of these spaces were clearly not attended to by the cleaners for months. The jacuzzi-like bath tub was not working (no air blowing). In the in-suite bedroom there was no door or curtain between the bedroom and the toilet.

This could be the best located accommodation in Cairns. Right on the boardwalk and close enough to walk to everything, but not too close to be bothered by noise or traffic. The apartments are very spacious and have stunning views. These are the reason for my rating. But this is not a hotel: the apartments are all different and in varying stages of renovation or decoration, with some permanent residents in the block. I've stayed here twice in 2-bed apartments and found the second not nearly as good as the first. It was a bit spartan for a 4 star property. No lightweight blankets as an alternative to quilts (in the tropics?) or extra pillows, one hairdryer that had to be shared across the two bathrooms, mismatched crockery and glasses, not enough forks, no plasticware to store food, no salt and pepper, leftover takeaway items from past guests. There are two pools, both in fairly bare surroundings and one was under construction during our stay. Other reviews have noted the apartments are a bit 'tired.' This is a fair description of our most recent stay: bathroom tiles painted over and now peeling, chips in cabinetry, tacky dining table etc. If this stuff doesn't bother you, then it is just a decision about whether the cost is reasonable for such a top location.
