Castaways

Castaways Beach is part of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. It is a massive sandy beach with beautiful, gentle waves (mosly). When standing on the beach looking left then right, I could count less than 25 people each day we went. And it is very dog friendly.

This has been our only place to stay for over 20 years. This is our final year as they are no longer doing holiday lets. Units are always clean & tidy & serviced once a week. Central to the beach which us easy walking distance & across the road from the tavern. There is a bus stop also across the road that will take you into cairns CBD or to the other beaches in the area. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate area. There are 3 pools in the complex.

Very old and tired, furniture seen better days, went to its very overpriced restaurant the food was what I would call pub crub. Got up in the night for a glass of water turned on the light to find cockroaches on the beach. Room smells damp I could go on and on but you get the picture.
