Lovely stay at Margherita, unfortunately it was only for 1 night! Would have liked to stay even longer.
The villa is very well located to the marble quarries on the one hand and the coast on the other. To Carrara center it is only a few steps away.
In total, the owner had renovated the villa for 7 years and the result can be seen. Beautiful, very large rooms (but style sensitive) that are decorated in a mix of old and modern (art) elements. Art is abundant in and around the villa.
In the morning a delicious breakfast was served where the owner pulled something extra out of the top hat to have tried. Real attention to detail!
Was it perfect? No, but it's almost. Two points of criticism:
1) The shower in my room (no.1) was unsuitable for my height (1.90m). I could barely turn around and bumped myself a few times
2) The accommodation would be completely “finished” with a swimming pool in the beautiful large garden.
