Mungumby Lodge

A very friendly host couple did their best to give us a good experience at Mungumby Lodge. Located in the middle of nature this was perfect for us. The host even caught some insects for us to see, since we had little luck due to unexpected rainfall. After looking we set them back to live their lifes outside. Expect nature to be close, and a sweet big gecko in the common area in the evening 😀 The 3 km road there was a dirt road, so drive carefully if using a normal car (as we did) A nice place where we would go again if ever in the region.

Fantastic experience, ideal if you love living surrounded by nature. Isabella is very kind and very competent, the cabins are basic but very neat and clean, equipped with WiFi for a right and necessary use, useless to abuse it, better enjoy every noise of the forest. There is the small and pleasant swimming pool and barbecue area. Breakfast (included) is more than satisfactory. With a slightly challenging walk of about 1 km you reach a beautiful hidden waterfall and you can swim in the natural pool at the foot of the waterfall itself. The quiet and relaxed atmosphere of this place completely regenerates from any stress or anxiety of everyday life. Too bad we only spent one night there, but we didn't know how much it was worth. As for me it is one of the best places I have ever seen and if I can I will definitely stay again. I highly recommend it, in a perfect tour of Queensland you absolutely have to pass by the Mungumby.

This place is SO unique, magical & special! We stayed three nights and really enjoyed the peace and nature we could experience there. AND Hamish and Isabella were very great hosts, who did everything to make us feel at home - which we certainly did. Thank you for having us at your wonderful Lodge and we very highly recommend! 🫶🏻
