River Of Gold Motel

Great value accommodation. We were only in Cooktown for the evening after finishing the Bloomfield Track north. The room was lovely and clean, beds comfortable. The pool was clean and a lovely place to spend an hour in the afternoon. While there is a restaurant on-site, we opted to dine in town. Should we have stayed more than one night, we would have tried the restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and lovely. Recommended accommodation.

This is an older motel, but is comfortable with a great pool, Bar and restaurant. The Hongkong/ Chinese restaurant was very good, food was great and as described. Try the Mongolian lamb. 10/10! Service was great.
