Kingfisher Bay Resort/village

A rainforest hotel in K’gari. The Dune and Sand & Woods restaurants are highly recommended. Good food, good customer service and nice ambiance

My husband and I are Wedding Photographers & Videographers and we had the honour of capturing a Wedding at King Fisher resort in September 2026 and WOW. Amira and the team were fantastic. They were so calming, helpful and organised. Everything ran insanely smoothly and the staff had the best energy. The food was amazing also which is a huge plus. We can not recommend the team here at King Fisher more highly and we hope to be back capturing more beautiful Weddings in the near future. Thank you Amira and team for all the amazing work you do for every couple. your venue and vendors are a stand out. Warm regards, Emma & Nyle (The Timeless Collection Photo & Film

While the resort was nice and mostly clean it’s getting dated. The room was spacious and comfortable but the daily cleaning left a little to be desired. We self drove and explored the island daily but the 1 1/4 drive each day, each way to the Eastern side became tedious, but the sights were wonderful. The resort restaurants were expensive with a very limited bistro style menu. Buffet breakfast was included but after 5 days with no new offerings and cutlery, milk or eggs were often waiting to be restocked. When we’d arrive there were often tables available but waiting to be cleared and cleaned from the last guests. Staff were clearly under pressure so either understaffed staffed or poorly managed. We did have a good time there, loved the exploring and adventure and will definitely be back to K’gari but will choose a different location on the Eastern side.
