The Summit Lodge

Visiting the beautiful Wairarapa again after twelve years especially to reconnect with Sir Peter Jackson’s TVAL collection of WW1 aeroplanes. The Summit in 2012 was a stand-out in. 2012, marvellous in every way and we’re pleased to report that with new owners Renee and Kevin it’s just as good. Set in a lush garden of fruit trees, The Summit’s three guest rooms are in a private guest wing…so quiet. Very comfortable king sized beds, well equipped bathroom and small porch to drink your tea on overlooking the fruit trees. Breakfasts were great again and the great company of Renee and her other guests was much appreciated. To cap it off dinners at the Gladstone Inn just down the road were great. Such tasty food! Thanks Renee for a great stay. Congratulations on maintaining that Summit experience!

What a magnificent place and region. The hosts are wonderful, the brekkie was wonderful and the accommodation superb. A must stop in the beautiful region!!!!! Thanks guys for a wonderful stay and for your hospitality!! We’ll be back without question!👍

This lodge is very peaceful. Our room was lovely, clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. They have acres of land and it lovely and lush and filled with fruit trees and flowers. It was always nice to come back and walk around and meet the alpacas and chickens. The hosts are amazing and made us feel very comfortable. I would totally recommend this lodge for couples
