Hidden Valley Cabins

I recently stayed at Hidden Valley Cabins during an educational trip to Australia with my daughter, and it was a standout experience. If you’re looking for a place where learning comes alive, this is it. I'm a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, a former educator, and a current applied researcher—and the experience I had is the epitome of an applied, multidisciplinary educational experience. It seamlessly weaves together: • Science & Environment: Unique biodiversity, biology, conservation, forestry, and animal husbandry. • Design & Innovation: Engineering, systems, and cutting-edge sustainability. • Humanity & Heritage: Local history, cultural significance, and community. Additionally, we had a priceless off-the-grid connection that had the kids willingly setting their screens aside. They were fully present—connecting over board games, sharing stories, and roasting s'mores by the fire. What makes this place even more special is that the cabins are run by a wonderful, deeply passionate family who is intimately connected to the area and its history. Their warmth and local knowledge added a layer of authenticity that is difficult to find. The bottom line is that, from science and history to deep personal connection and family warmth, Hidden Valley Cabins was a truly wonderful experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough for families, educators, or anyone looking to reconnect with nature and each other.

I recently stayed overnight at the cabins with 10 friends. It was very wet with some roads closed, but they couldn't do enough for us. It was just before Christmas and I thought we wouldn't get accommodation, but they were very welcoming. We will certainly be back!

What a great ladies night out! Started with a walk with some champagne. Then pizza, cocktails and vase glass painting. The next day was a huge breakfast followed by high tea at ivy cottage!! So much fun, heaps of time to catch up with your pals. A family run business..a great experience.
