Azzura Greens Resort

Stayed two nights for a wedding on the Gold Coast (2 x adults, 1 x 12-yo child). Booked through booking.com Common areas (lift, lobby etc) were dirty and smelt weird. Our executive apartment (room 3401) was very disappointing. This deluxe two-bedroom apartment was advertised to accommodate four, but only had enough mis-matched enough crockery for two. Pillows were revolting. They looked and felt like they were very old and not something I'd expect from this type of accommodation. Wall fittings / accessories in bathroom were either damaged or missing entirely. We were very happy to leave!

We stayed here for one night and, while the after‑hours check‑in process was straightforward and the location is convenient with a shopping centre a short drive away, the overall experience fell well below a 5‑star standard. Security is generally fine, but it becomes questionable when someone can easily tailgate through the gate behind a guest’s car. The apartment itself was acceptable for an overnight stay, but several issues made it feel poorly maintained. The dishwasher had a very strong, unpleasant smell, and the pillows clearly needed to be washed or replaced as they smelt of sweat. The biggest disappointment came at checkout. The two young men at reception had a noticeably cold and rude demeanor. The one we interacted with, was polite at first, but his attitude changed the moment we provided feedback about the apartment. He seemed unhappy to hear it and struggled to understand what we were saying, which made communication difficult. He was able to communicate enough for us to understand him, but he had trouble understanding us in return. Overall, the place was relatively clean and fine for a quick stopover, but it is nowhere near 5‑star quality. Based on our experience, we won’t be returning. It simply isn’t worth the price or the rating it claims to have.

Absolutely loved our stay in room 1216. It was beautifully furnished, smelt fresh and clean and was soooo spacious. We also really loved the fact that our apartment had 3 bathrooms - very handy when you have little ones. The pool was so much fun and the BBQ areas around the pool were lovely too. We will be back and requesting the same apartment.
