Hides Cairns

We were getting in late to cairns so didn’t want to spend a lot of money for a few hours sleep. So it was great for that. The bathroom needed to be cleaned better Looked like mopped with dirty mop cause gunk flicked up on the lower walls Fridge really smelly Bed was clean Walking distance to everything and good nightlife

Good size room. Great location. The towels smell like they were washed in a deep fat fryer. There's dust bunnies watching you shower from an inactive extractor port. It's impossible to get a good temperature for the shower, it's either scolding hot or stone cold. If you do get a good temperature it'll only stay for 1-2 minutes then cycle hot, cold, hot. There's no teaspoon to stir your coffee and only small cups, no mugs. There's only 4 single serve coffee's for 2 people for 3 nights! Only 4 small single serve milk containers. No microwaves in the room, I'm surprised there's a kettle. No toaster either. The safe has no lock or key. It's tiled floors and the tiles have so many cracks and chips you are unable to tell if it's broken or just dirty. The floors are NOT clean. No fly screen on the windows if you want fresh air. You have to slam the door to close it locked which echoes down the corridor waking everyone up. The beds might as well be made of cement, rock hard. Although the TV is quite large, watching Any of the channels was almost impossible due to constant glitches. The $12.50 breakfast is a good deal but the sandwich press had the same bit of burnt cheese on it for all 3 mornings. The bananas were there all 3 days and were brown by the 3rd day. The orange juice is extremely sour, I watered it down with the apple juice. The ham and cheese makes a good toastie with a range of bread types available. Also the girl serving should not be wearing bilke shorts/gym tights to work.

Hair in the shower. Ceiling fan had a big hole in the roof. Faulty kettle had to stand there and wait for it to boil Because the lid would not close and turn it off Manually. Netflix would not work. Room never serviced in six days of stay. Bed was hard as rocks. Only two out of eight usb ports working. One positive was the staff were very friendly. A safe without a key.
