Hilton Residences

We had a great room. We booked for 7 nights. Yes, it was noisy at times, but bearable. The room was serviced between 4 - 5 pm every day which was annoying as they could have cleaned it while we were out. You don't get the little extras you will find in other hotels. I think they are thrifty. The electricity kept going off in our room if we didn't move around. Don’t have a bath because lights will turn off. They provide an Executive Lounge with canapés and drinks which is an incentive/perk for some. They may buy in bulk from Costco certain foods that are being served. Was the place worth the cost - only because it was central. Atmosphere is friendly. Staff were lovely.

We have just spent the weekend at the Hilton for the Pacific Air show. My Husband is a Hilton rewards member. For 2 nights we paid $2.300, alot of money for 2 nights. We will never ever stay at Hilton Surfer's Paradise again. I walked into the room and said to my husband "Look at the carpet and the disgusting stain". The dinning chairs had dust on them. My daughter washed her hair after swimming in the pool, NO conditioner in the bottle. The dishwasher smelt horrible. Then we arrive home and my husband get a message "We have found stains on the carpet and you will be charged for the damage " Omg I wish now I had taken photos and I would have put them on my review for everyone to see. It was the first thing I noticed when I walked in on the Friday night. Absolutely disgusting!! I would recommend taking photos when you arrive, so you can't be blamed for damage you did not do 🤨

Upon walking into the lobby I could tell this hotel was going to be super busy. It had a distinct smell as well - smelled to me like weed or something similar. This could be due to people that were in the lobby that just smoked, however I continued to smell it on day #2. The individual who checked me in was very pleasant so I had high hopes. I walked into the room and it was tucked into a corridor and immediately heard my neighbors next to me as they were in my room. FYI if you’re coming here for some peaceful time away - it’s fairly loud. I also found hair all over the pillow cases and some on the bathroom floor. One of the pillow cases also had a blood stain on it. I also found about a 2 inch gap on the bathroom window covering and didn’t feel like I had proper privacy - especially at night. I wanted to swap rooms but was told they didn’t have rooms any higher than floor 6 for the type of room I booked and didn’t want to go closer to the street. I also had a work emergency come up that I was thinking I’d need to leave a day earlier and I went to the front desk to ask if I could get my money back for the night. I was told no because I used partial points that I could not get any type of refund. It didn’t seem that the person I spoke to up front had any empathy and just said,” the manager said that’s the policy. That’s all.” That’s crazy!! No concession whatsoever. On the positive side, the hotel is in good walking distance to many things. I would caution families on staying here if they want privacy given my bathroom shade issue. I’d hope the hotel would replace it. It looked dirty and stained as well. Pictures attached. Overall I would not come back to this hotel and would spend more money to go down to Broadbeach. I’d advise others do the same.
