Sandcastles On Broadwater

Do your research before booking. I didn't, and regret it. Reception that reeks of cigarette smoke isn't a good start. Our room was dirty, tired, very budget, and broken. I'm pretty sure the room hadn't been used for months before us. Beds are ordinary, with cheap Kmart pedestal fans the only option for ventilation. The cutlery was all sticky, glasses and plates needed washing before they could be used. And that double adaptor situation in the kitchen? Pretty sure that's plain illegal. The curtains fell apart the first time we closed them. The view might be OK, but a large tree blocked any potential for that. Like everything else, the balcony hadn't been cleaned for months so we didn't really go out there. However, the pool and BBQ facilities are great and the location handy and, despite the major road, relatively quiet. Overall, would be acceptable for $200 a night, unfortunately we paid more that double that. Booking through Qantas I'd expect better.

Disgustingly old, dirty, overpriced. Poor management. The 3 bedroom appartment was nothing like the photos. It was literally false advertising. The upstairs bedroom has had the carpet removed and the cement has been painted and a rug thrown on top. there,are black scuff marks all over thw floor. The view to the broadwater has a creepy manacon on the neighbours verandah. The downstairs cupboard was dirty and dusty. The kitchen chairs had padding in them which has collapsed. Very disappointing. The oven didnt work. the outdoor bar stool are all sagging and torn. We paid $3200 for 2 weeks. They did refund us $200. Management was nowhere to be found but they could be heard telling f the receptionist what to say. I would rather stay in a dog kennel. very disappointing.

Thanks to the friendly team who made my 26 day holiday in Brisbane my first great taste of Australia it's just a pity I didn't have a car to get around but fantastic time on the broadwater which is only 2 minutes away and a great place to stay 9/10 from Edinburgh Scotland hopefully will be back soon
