Ceduna Foreshore Hotel Motel

Fresh, well-run hotel where we had a big room with ocean views. Excellent king size bed and all the other comforts you’d expect. Secure parking was under our room. Very quiet. The large, lively barn of the bar/restaurant area has an RSL club feel but has views over the water and excellent food. We enjoyed superb, reasonably-priced Coffin Bay oysters and crumbed fish and chips.

The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The air-conditioning worked well to warm the room. The tea and coffee amenities were good. I felt the grouting in the bathroom could do with a good clean. Hot water was good. Extra blankets were available. A hairdryer was provided. A microwave was there if you needed it. The staff in the bistro were helpful and friendly We did find that spirit drinks and some piccolos were over priced. Wine and beer more affordable. The breakfast was very nice. We had the buffet. The view of the jetty and seaside was amazing.

So we decided to stay here because after a few days on the road we wanted to spoilt ourselves so we booked the spa suite. Check in was easy (once we finally found reception), staff were OK, polite in a "this is my job" way but not overly polite or friendly. Room was lovely!!! Beautiful view, spacious, huge bathroom. Did see remnants of the last guests food crumbs on the ground, so vacumming could be a little better. Shower was great, good pressure and heat and the spa bath was worth every dollar, I soaked for hours. Really lovely soaps and shampoos provided. Resteraunt downstairs does a lovely dinner and their cocktails are sooo yummy and well made. Didn't try breakfast as it seemed a bit pricey for us . A few small issues came up during the stay; 1. The water was turned off the mains by someone overnight (apparently this happens regularly so they might need to look into a cover or something) and reception isn't on-site till 8am so we were late leaving as we couldn't shower, brush our teeth, use the toilet etc 2. Nothing the hotel can do, but there are some locals who sit right outside the hotel and scream profanities till about 8pm, which means it's not the nicest to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view with all the screaming going on. 3. We LOVED our room but unfortunately it was on the other end of the hotel to the carpark so you walk all the way through the hotel with your bags when arriving and leaving (maybe offer a small bag trolley for guests)
