Sundowner Clare Valley Motel

What a terrible place, got woken up at 1am by banging doors,by other occupants due to being drunk, rooms are so out of date, the tv is from the 90s and tiny, the rooms are not cleaned as we had spiders, had to buy our own bug spray as none available, bed light had a faulty switch(they did change it upon request, safety issue) the pool was green and filthy, the tub chairs were broken and uncomfortable as was the bed, we actually booked for 3 nights but only stayed two, left early hours in the morning just to find somewhere descent to stay, they did not contact us as to why, but are happy to take your money Place needs serious updating, at the price they charge you should get buffet breakfast, but nothing, overall I would never recommend it

Nice and comfortable room, great location.. close to town centre and Riesling trail.. Rooms looked refreshed, only complaint was the air conditioning stopped working correctly the 2nd night.. the only suggestion would be to get some floor runners into the room, as the floor became slightly wet coming and going in the rain...the front door mat is no good to soak up rain and as room locked up for hours it smelled damp.. Also has a microwave to heat food but no sink to wash plates, utensils or coffee cups, you have to use the bathroom sink! I would be happy to stay here again good value for money!

Not the place to go to. The place is run by AI Unfriendly and impersonal but worse still the rooms need urgent repair I.e. air conditioner not working, shower head broken. The bed was all right but bed side lamps were not working. The owners could work on adding a bit of human contact to this hotel experience.
