Mud Hut

We missed our booking due to very late communication from the Mud hut hotel about our late eta. We booked around 4:45 pm for the same night and indicated our late arrival time right away. According to their information, their reception closed at 5 pm. A good four hours later, we received a confirmation on our late arrival time with after-hours check-in details. It was almost 9 p.m. here and pitch dark. We still had to drive for a while in the pitch black, with all the inherent dangers here of hitting animals etc, and just before they emailed us, we decided not to risk driving and then arriving at their doorstep without a place to stay. You really don't want to be left without a place to stay in that part of Australia; it's too dangerous. I tried calling the number listed here on booking, but it wasn't in service. Despite us missing the booking due to their late communication, they simply debited the amount and now refuse to refund it. No goodwill, nothing!! If this is how you want to earn your money, I think you're doing something wrong!!

Stayed here on my drive from Adelaide to Alice Springs - everyone recommended this hotel as their preferred stop over when driving between the two cities. Very clean, safe, friendly. Room was standard, no concerns. Very close walk to Truckstop where everyone goes for dinner. Would absolutely stay again

Absolutely fantastic place warm welcome love the rooms plenty of room kitchenette is fantastic close to everything in town looked after from moment we arrived till we left given fuel discount cards which save 8 cents a litre which helps a lot when empty
