It’s hard to put into words just how grateful our family is to Sid and the entire team at Salamanca Inn. My mum passed away unexpectedly while staying there this week, and from the moment it happened, Sid and his staff were absolutely incredible. In what was easily one of the worst moments our family has ever faced, they showed a level of compassion, kindness and genuine care that we will never forget. They looked after my dad immediately afterwards, making sure he wasn’t left to deal with everything alone, and when the rest of our family arrived, they went above and beyond for every one of us. Nothing was too much trouble. They bent over backwards to help in every way they could, not because they had to, but because they genuinely cared. At a time when we were overwhelmed, grieving and a long way from home, Salamanca Inn became more than just the place Mum and Dad had been staying. The people there gave us support, understanding and kindness when we needed it most. Sid, to you and your team, thank you. We will never forget what you did for Dad and for our whole family. You showed us that true hospitality isn’t just about rooms, service or facilities. It’s about how you treat people when they need you most. We could not recommend Salamanca Inn highly enough. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Lovely hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly and competent. James was an absolute standout star. He remembered our names the second time we walked in to the restaurant are. (And remembered our drink preferences.). The disability access bathroom is well set up and functional for a wheelchair user. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire place. Not a speck of dust anywhere in the room. Food in the restaurant was lovely and plentiful. So good, in fact, we hosted a couple of friends for dinner on our third night. We don't go to Hobart very often, but this will be our preferred venue if we return.

### Exceptional location, comfort and value – an easy 5/5 Salamanca Inn was an excellent choice for our stay in Hobart and somewhere we will definitely return to on our next visit. The location is hard to beat. Tucked into Battery Point and only around 50 metres from Salamanca Place, we were literally a few steps from the Saturday Salamanca Market, as well as an enormous choice of cafes, restaurants, shops and local produce. We were spoilt for choice. The waterfront is also an easy walk, including the jetty for catching the ferry to MONA. Our room was surprisingly spacious, spotlessly clean and wonderfully quiet. The large dining table was particularly useful – not only for eating, but also for spreading out maps, purchases and all those bits and pieces you accumulate while travelling! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the heated bathroom floor was magnificent during a winter stay in Hobart. Having a kitchenette was another real bonus. With such wonderful fresh food and local produce available within walking distance, it was lovely to be able to pick up a few things and bring them back to enjoy in our room. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Room service was okay, although given the location and the number of excellent places to eat within a few minutes' walk, we really didn't need to use it. We also appreciated having onsite parking. We had a car for exploring further afield, including kunanyi/Mount Wellington and the surrounding areas, but once we returned to the Inn we could simply leave the car behind and explore central Hobart on foot. For the size and comfort of the accommodation, onsite parking and such an outstanding location, we thought Salamanca Inn represented exceptional value for money. A genuine 5/5 stay for us. Comfortable, spacious, quiet, incredibly convenient and right amongst everything we wanted to experience in Hobart. We will happily stay here again.
