Stayed in Unit 6 for three nights in Dec 2025. We have stayed here several times before on previous trips. Good location, 10 minute walk to central Hobart and the wharf area. Units are spacious, clean and comfortable. Sitting area and kitchenette. Clean, updated bathroom. Parking outside your door. Shops, restaurants and pubs close by. Will stay again.

Stayed in the two bedroom apartment for two nights. Was clean, tidy and had everything you needed. Location was good for our trip and Hobart exploration, cafe’s, takeaway joints and supermarkets are just up the road and a short walk. A solid three star accomodation, old/dated but decent value for money. We got a park for our rental car, big thumbs up.

To start with the negative, I wish whatever sounds like a generator would not run for periods late at night. I don't remember that from past visits although they were several years ago. It's happened too consistently throughout my stay, and too late we t night, for it to just be someone's vehicle. It's not necessarily even on this property, but when I'm in bed I'm not going to pull on clothes to go out and investigate what the heck is making the somewhat throbbing engine-like sound for long periods of time. The rubbish truck that comes down to empty the big bins is also noisy. Fortunately I've lived in pretty noisy inner city places for a long time now so I'm fairly used to such aural inconveniences. On the plus side, another good stay having not been able to return to Tas for some years. Room has everything I need. As soon as Dark Mofo dates were announced I booked a long stay. Probably the best price in town for what you get which could be termed an apartment but to me is a classic motel situation. A home away from home. Everything works. I've done some basic cooking in room. Some Foxtel channels included on the TV lineup. There's little-to-no servicing of room. If you stay a week or so you get one sheets change on an appointed day. I was surprised that didn't include towels - or even the teabags being topped up. However this isnt a complaint, it's just info for the reader. Personally I'm quite happy to be left alone and treat it like living at home. Don't need things changed when it's only just over a week here. Spent $3 on some teabags to make sure I didn't run out, but I'm sure if I had asked some more of the standard issue Bushells they would have provided. Oh I used the laundry. It's not really a guest laundry. You're using their laundry and need to talk to them so they'll let you use a machine between the continual loads of sheets etc being done. Got what I needed to be done. Don't have to pay extra for detergent. Payment is by card, if you seen anything mentioning coins it's out of date. As someone who is happy to walk and doesn't mind it being a little hilly (even central Hobart is up and down in most streets), the location is closer to the city centre than it may seem others, and even closer to the Salamanca area. In the other direction nearby are two supermarkets, along with various shops and food like pizza places. Closest decent bar, Preachers, is about 10 min walk. Whatever that engine or generator thing is seemed to stop or go quieter for a few mins then came back. And then another cycle like that. Currently hum-throbbing at 11.47pm.
