Great location, lovely staff. Room clean and spacious. Walking distance to town and some restaurant's. Peaceful place not noisy. Good price. Great views.

I would start by saying your stay will be more comfortable on the streets of Launceston. The hotel is old and run down the lift has not worked in years. but more importantly the manager lacks any people skills and is rude.

We had a 3 night stay at the Auldington Hotel at a cost of $549.00 for the stay. No complaints about the room etc which was fine, however, a week after our stay I received a phone call from the hotel claiming that we had taken an item (chocolate) from the mini bar which was unpaid for. I knew that we hadn't used anything as we had bought wine, cheese and chocolates from a liquor shop and Woolworths to have on our balcony, and we have a policy of never touching the mini bar. I explained this to the young man on the phone but to my disappointment and annoyance I noticed that the next day they had deducted an amount from my credit card which was not authorised by me. I know it was only a small amount but their attitude the principle is what ruined my opinion of this hotel. I had given them a good review on Booking.com which I have since deleted. Would I stay here again or recommend them - No. I suggest anyone staying here take a photo of the contents of the mini bar before they leave.
