Booked a couple of months ago, Turned up before 5pm only to have to make a phone call as no one on site. The room very out dated, sort of clean, need new beds(old ensemble sunk in middle). Bathroom needs total makeover, shower over bath, very unsafe, not disabled freindly. notice in kitchen to take rubbish bag out to bin outside before leaving.....very over priced. needs to be brought up to 2021 not 1960 standards not recommend at all.

Mu father had a stroke and we needed to get to another city in Tasmania but they would not let us cancel the booking even though it had only been made hours before. Charged $365. We stopped for a sleep on our way through to save costs. Very dated, terrible bed and awful road noise.

Unfortunately the site does not allow a rating of less than 1. Given the reviews and write ups about this place having been refurbished in 2004 (Hobart Apartments website) to other people’s reviews stating refurbished in 2017 we booked 3 nights as a family of 4. When we checked in the kitchen utensils were filthy so not being ones to complain we cleaned them and the kitchen so we could stay, after all we were only using it to sleep at night as we would be out during the days. We came home the second day around 10.15pm after having been out all day and catching up with friends for dinner in the evening. When we walked in to the apartment we notice that there was a wet spot on the carpet in the hallway. We then went into the bathroom to find the floor and our personal belongings that were on the vanity all wet. We looked around and couldn’t work out where /how it all got wet. After looking at the ceiling we found water coming in from the ceiling. We then made our way into the middle bedroom and saw that the drape was all wet down the side. The carpet on the floor at the bottom of the drape was also wet. On the floor where the water was sat the extension cord that ran from the back of the bed to the electric wall heater used to heat the room. We had to turn the heather of and unplug it and lift it off the wet floor. We sent Hobart apartments an email advising we had had enough and were checking out the next day and expected a refund for the full boking given it did not live up to the expectation or description of the room. The following day when we spoke to the office manager, she said we should have called her the night before and she would have put us in another room. I have no idea how she would do that when the sign out the front said NO Vacancies. We took her through and showed her the dirty kitchen (we didn’t bother to clean the dirt on the outside of the fridge and she said we should have told her at the start so she could get the cleaners back - again no idea where we were going to go given the no vacancy sign out the front. We then took her into the bathroom to show where the wet floor was and she said it’s coming from the ceiling (we never told her that). we then proceeded to show her the bedroom and again she didn’t seem to care. She said that they didn’t know when it was going to leak, basically indicating it was not a surprise that it could leak but they didn’t know when. When we asked her about a refund she started yelling and calling us freeloaders. This booking was with expedia so we have taken it up with them who said that they were getting no co-operation from the manager at the apartments. Again, there are plenty of other nice places that are cheaper...look around first before booking here
