Strahan Holiday Park

I don’t know where to start really. Worse cabin we have ever stayed in. Overpriced, run down, and seen better days. The beds as hard as a rock, no air conditioning, the smallest heater I’ve ever seen. Dodgy plumbing. They charge a premium 5 star price for a 2 star cabin. Joinery is all falling apart, smallest microwave I have ever seen. The grounds are overgrown and barely maintained. They charge $6 per load of washing and the same to dry in a dryer. TV is sitting on the kitchen bench. When you sit on the couch it feels like your sitting on the floor. I’ve never seen such a small dining table. The blinds hardly cover the windows. A terrible place to stay. The cabin smells terrible. The lady who checked us in was grumpy and not friendly. Honestly the Big4 people must never have been here. The park was quiet when we were there.

Where to start...the room we were given bore no resemblance to what is advertised online, and what was booked. The oldest and ugliest building in the complex. The dining table covered in white marks the chairs were down to the frame. The beds had seen better days. The outside area was appalling. See attached photos... decking board loose and an actual trip hazard. Dead plants. On our second day a table and chairs magically appeared on the deck! The curtains in the bedrooms did not give any privacy. Threat of $50 charge if dishes are not washed and put away. I cannot believe that this place is still in business, I guess it is as Strahan is a popular destination. Would have stayed elsewhere if it was possible.

Very poor excuse for a Big 4 park. Cabins are old and poorly maintained and prices were exorbitant. After reading other reviews I would agree and suggest not staying here.
