Lighthouse Keepers Inn

It was very windy and cold when we visited. The view of the lighthouse toking out onto the ocean was gorgeous. We had a very good lunch in the on grounds restaurant. They have a small onsite gift shop.This is a self walking tour.

Large comfortable rooms and beds. Has tea coffee facilities with a bar fridge. Not too noisy apart from the waves crashing on the ocean. Interior was a bit shabby but for the budget price it was good value. Apart from the wifi which was unavailable in rooms and my son had to sit half way down the stairs to receive any?

oIf you don't mind worn wood and somewhat faded furniture and bedding, this is good value. The releif staff is wonderful: Keira and her husband/colleague Glen went out of their way to help us. The location off the Great Ocean Road is very convenient. Although the Inn appears to be a one-night stopover for most guests, there's lots to do nearby. We enjoyed our three nights here on our return from a visit to the Twelve Apostles. The only negatives were a backed-up toilet on our last day which required the services of a plumber and the throbbing base from the hard rock performances at the Open Mic Music Festival that coincided with our stay. (Evenings were otherwise quiet.) We were also disappointed in the owner's refusal to extend a credit to us for the inconvenience of moving to another unit when the toilet malfunctioned. The staff showed a lot more grace.
