We paid $209 for a small room, more like a cell. We requested more linen, which was overlooked and never came. No plates or cutlery in the room. Our room was tired looking, the shower need attention. The Restaurant The Iron Vine, was highly expensive . The catering staff where nice.

Found their goodwill and empathy lacking. My wife and I had planned a road trip, however, due to the fuel crisis and the possibility of not getting any petrol, or even been stranded, we regretfully had to cancel. I firstly made contact with Bairnsdale, however, despite knowing they would refuse my request for a refund, they told me I had to initiate it through Booking.Com. Yes, and when I did, they immediately refused to even give a portion back. The other hotel we had booked for our trip understood our situation and though it was non-refundable as well gave us an immediate and complete refund. It's their right to deny me a refund, however, my reasons to do so were legitimate. Don't expect any consideration, kindness or empathy from this place.

Noisy room next to kitchen and lack of sleep. Not a hotel a 3 star Motel. Staff should not better when guests are trying to sleep.
