Comfort Inn Eastern Sands

Absolutely filthy. I don't mind old and worn but dirty and smelly... no. There wasn't a first time to be a second. Asked for refund, denied by very arrogant receptionist. Stayed at a fabulous place a short distance up the rd.

I arrived late afternoon on a Saturday. The carpark was full of rubbish, smelly and dirty, and when I approached the reception area, I noticed the grimy marks on the glass door. The reception area was messy, the attendant looked dishevelled and I was handed plastic key holder that was cracked in half and stuck back together with sticky tape. My room smelt upon entry and I instantly noticed dusty furniture, grimy mirrors and a disgusting bathroom, with mould in the shower and grimy shower screens. I had to quickly leave to attend an event, and when I returned late in the evening, I was greeted with the sounds of a large and rowdy group in a room next to mine, who were singing at the top of their longs, partying, drinking and basically making it impossible for anyone to have any peace, let alone sleep! I tried to phone reception, but it is unattended at night. I phoned Bookings.com to locate alternate accommodation but as it was almost midnight, this was impossible. Ahmad from bookings.com told me he would contact the property to seek a compensation for my stay. I could not wait to leave the following day and when I contacted the property manager and then the owner early the next week, he said he would not recompense me for this unacceptable stay, but when I insisted, he requested photos/videos which I sent. I heard nothing and when I followed up the next week, Tania the manager said that they would be doing nothing to compensate me for this misrepresentation, the disgusting condition of the room and the unacceptable noise levels and behaviour by other guests. There are many other places to stay in Geelong. Avoid this one.

Just don’t even consider staying at Eastern Sands Motel. Everything about it stinks - literally. The only reason it continues to operate is its good location. The images on the website are a total lie. The place should not be allowed to operate. The room we were shown was filthy. The windows so dirty you could hardly see out of them. Again just don’t stay there!!!!!!!!
