Geelong Riverview Tourist Park

Arrived about 8.00pm on a Friday night and of course the front office was closed. But no matter, I have received an SMS late in the afternoon giving instructions on how to access the security lock box and pick up our keys and site map. Couldn't have been smoother. A very well laid out park and very clean. Well maintained with accommodation types for all. My only negative was the streets are very narrow and hence caravan and Motor Home maneuvering is challenging.

We stayed for 2 nights in Geelong. Our destination was Tasmania and the ferry departs from Geelong. The place is great, grass and plenty of space. The sanitary facilities clean and maintained even the Laundry is great. There is a small snack at the campsite, where you can have delicious coffee. The campsite has a heated indoor pool. In any case, we will come back on January 22, 2026, as will still enjoy the city extensively.

We stayed twice at this Park - first time in October (mid-week) in an ensuite campsite and I rebooked same site for mid-week in November to catch the Spirit of Tas. Receptionist wouldn’t take payment when rebooking - told not to worry about it & pay when you check in. Unbeknownst to me, the Park adjusts its price according to supply and demand! Therefore on our second stay the price was increased by $27 p/nt purely because it was full!!! 😳 Park is well maintained but cabins and sites are very tight. Not a happy camper and won’t be back.
