Boroka Downs

We stayed at Baroka Downs - Halls Gap over the June 26 long weekend and loved every minute! After arriving into Villa 2 and discovering that the wifi had blown, the lovely host Katrina moved us to another villa, which was great. We ended up staying in Villa 5 and it ticked every box for us - nature, tranquility, comfort. We enjoyed a cheese platter / champagne on the plains with a back drop of the Grampians. Roos / deer /birds just grazing in the foreground as the backdrop was wonderful.. As it got colder late in the evening, we tucked away in our cosy villa and enjoyed some Movies. The wifi and smart TV was great, and the beds were super-comfy and the kitchen has every amenity you need to make dinner and breakfast. A stroll across the property and a short trip into the Halls Gap Market was about as energetic as we got. This 3 night stay was so relaxing - perfect! Thankyou to our friendly host Katrina. We will definitely see you again..

The great house is surrounded by nature ! Kangaroos, deer , parrots of all kinds and today even an ant urchin in action !

We were back in the Boroka Downs after 8 years and I have to say the quality is still high. The complex consists of only 5 villas, which are at a sufficient distance. Villa generously cut and very nicely decorated. Sleeping area in an alcove, living area with comfortable couch, small dining table and kitchenette. Very nice spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. Additionally spa bathtub in the room.Outdoor area with sunbeds and dining area. The nicest thing, however, is the absolute tranquility and the kangaroos and cockatoos that come up to the terrace.
