Limited motel choices in Halls Gap we were placed here for work purposes A fairly big complex spread out over gardens that are functional rather then aesthetic The room was huge perhaps unnecessarily so and made heating a challenge The bed fine and fairly quite save for i think hot water kicking in at 5am was like a long demented train whistle It must be noted that hot water took 5 to 10 mins to kick in and required a lot of adjusting to get a tolerable temp Bathroom huge and no heating so in 3c temps and a permanently open grilled window it was freezing in there Towels and comp body products poor Two comp cookies were nice Wifi woeful Zero issues with check in No ID was required or credit card for pre paid Didnt eat here

This is no longer a Comfort Inn. More Fawlty Towers! The place needs a decent manager to shake things up and get the place running properly. We arrived about 19.00 and luckily there was a coach party having dinner so there was someone about to check us in. Other times there appeared to be no one on the chaotic reception desk! Our room was spacious and clean though the carpets could do with a deep clean or replacing. The furniture is dated and has an air of tattiness. Place generally clean though bedside table had not been cleaned. Shower very good. We managed to get an evening meal at Darcy's on site dining. The food was good which tbh we were surprised about as the dining area was run in a similar chaotic way to the hotel. Laundry was coin operated but hotel had no change tho clearly stated to ask at reception. Outside areas are dusty and gardens need attention. It seems to have lots of coach parties which must be keeping them going! It is well situated for access to Halls Gap and restaurants and bars but I feel better accommodation must be available.

Keys did not work in first room. No apology, just new key card, new room. While the room was big, curtain rod down, curtain on floor. Bathroom shower tiles were mouldy, as was the shower glass doors. Shampoo etc bottles were empty and also dirty. Windows were dirty to the point where outside visibility was impaired. surrounds, stairwells were littered, empty cans, bottles, paper, dirt and cobwebs. No housekeeping on a weekday, room was not cleaned. hot water took a good five minutes to reach the bathroom, so much for water conservation (noted this was the reason the spa bath did not work). Dining room, well who could tell if it was open. Staff were uninterested and rude. Would never stay again or recommend. Cockatoos were great.
