A nice place to stay. Very close to Healesville Sanctuary. Our room was clean but dated. Restaurant was closed but there was room service available. Host was friendly and helpful.

This was an OK joint. Probably suited to business retreats but when we visited, not much activity such as restaurant/bar was not open. Rooms quite ok. Facilities in the grounds were good. It is not really walking distance to town and no taxi service so can be remote if you want to go into town and live it up legally.

If I'm generous I might think that this motel had recently changed hands and the new owners are have 'teething issues'. Not good value for $220 per night for our room. A general state of dilapidation and not to our usual standard of cleanliness. Our room had no soap or shampoo. The carpet was soaked near the door. The pool walls were stained. There were people/workers at the restuarant area at 9.15am but noone at reception. No outside lights in our section. A beautiful location and has enormous potential to be so much better. Hope they can make it happen.
