Peppers Springs Retreat

I was expecting The Mineral Springs Hotel to be good and it certainly was. We stayed 3 nights in Garden Spa Villa which was very comfortable and spacious. The meal at the Argus Restaurant was excellent (as was the wine). Thank you!!

Main building inside still beautiful, staff lovely and meals good, apart from hot breakfast items, as the cook basically does everything hours ahead and it slowly gets colder and colder. Rooms a bit tired. Towels not plush. Shower water pressure set really low. Much of the gardens not well maintained. Path lights not working or broken. Not at all like it was years ago. Sad.

What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. From check in to check out the experience is grand. The hotel is a heritage hotel but the decor and surrounds are very up to date and comfortable. We stayed in the Gatsby room with a fabulous bronze bath. The room is spacious enough, and the bath lovely - my only faults would be that the water is not super hot and the toilet is within the actual room which makes privacy a bit lacking. Also, it would be fantastic if there were bedside lamps - the lighting doesn’t support those of us who like to read in bed! Other than that, the room is lovely. Breakfast is fantastic - cooked to order as well as a plate of pastries, fruit and yoghurt and very nice coffee. The gardens are superb. Highly, highly recommend for a luxurious stay in a peaceful setting.
