Ibis Melbourne

Value for money in terms of location and room size. Kunga at check in was wonderful, definitely a great asset to the reception team. Liv was also helpful. Thank you, hope to be back

While the Ibis Melbourne Hotel and Apartments is located right next to multiple tram stops, central train station and Queen Victoria Markets, it really leaves a lot to be desired. The apartment only has a microwave and kettle. No other appliances. The bathroom is appalling. Covered in mould and the sink doesn’t even drain. Only two half roles of toilet paper on arrival. Needed to go to reception to get another role. Rooms are serviced every second day. The apartment is tired and needs to be renovated but was otherwise clean and beds were comfortable. Only one spare pillow available (for 4 people)

A tired Hotel which is an urgent need of an update. The rooms are only cleaned every two days. We were not told this and returned late to find the room had not been cleaned and we had to make our own bed. We are happy to miss daily cleaning for environmental reasons but expect to be advised of this in advance. The staff were friendly but said they could do nothing about late evening room cleaning. The Hotel is near Victoria Market. It is in a student area with lots of basic take aways with a longer walk in order to get a choice of restaurants.
