Mercure Mildura

Stayed 26-27 June. Can’t even express how angry I am. Been totally lied to by the hotel. I called 3 days prior to book and asked if they do room service told them it would be a Friday night and wanted room service breakfast on Saturday morning. They said yes. Now we are checked in we are told they don’t do room sevice breakfast on weekends. We would have stay somewhere cheaper and nicer for the price if we had not been lied to. The girl at reception when we checked in even gave us a room service breakfast menu as I said I wanted breakfast rooms service and she didn’t even tell us then that it was not done on weekends. Like WTF who downs want a sleep in and room service on a weekend 🤬 totally ripped off because the room isn’t even that great.

The Mercure brand just doesn’t hold up at this location. Mercure prices - yet budget cleaning and fit out. The room (2 bed apartment) was as dark as a cave downstairs. Up the very steep stairs to two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom that needed a good clean (mouldy grout was a feature of the shower). Minimal furniture, very basic crockery (two teeny mugs to make a cup of tea). No spare blankets for the beds. Parking is in short supply - don’t expect to park at your room’s front door. Reception was closed upon check out - so I couldn’t provide any feedback. We won’t be back.

Very outdated. Needs a lot of TLC. For over $200 a night it was sub par. The spa was in desperate need of resurfacing and a deep clean. The curtains were filthy and hang off. Mould in the bathroom. Filthy exhaust fan cover. Furniture not working properly. Cobwebs and general grottiness.
