i stayed at mantra melbourne airport for one night as i had an early flight the next morning, and it was a really nice, clean and comfortable stay. the room was exactly what i needed for a quick overnight stop and the location made getting to the airport nice and easy the next morning. there honestly wasn’t much to dislike. at reception, they mentioned i had booked a room with two single beds and said they were going to change it to a king room instead, but that didn’t end up happening. it wasn’t a big deal at all though, and everything else about the stay was great.

Shuttle was timely. The rooms are good. Large comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Friendly service. All you would expect. The big let down was the dinning room. It wasn't busy but it still took staff 15 minutes to take our order and 50 mins for the food to arrive. Lots of other diners had to wait too long as well. The draught beer I was served was flat and when I sent it back they gave me another flat beer. The meal was only o.k. and way overpriced considering its quality and the service. Staff are friendly enough but something isn't working here. Stay at the hotel but eat dinner somewhere else or get take away.

I stay at this hotel regularly if I have early flights and service is good as is the restaurant and transfer bus. This is the second time I have stayed where the air conditioning unit was faulty and noisy. I presume this is due to lack of servicing. We got little sleep because of this. Not good enough really for the high price that you pay for a room.
