5 star apartment experience in the city. These apartments are always spotless, spacious and the luxury of a bath tub, which we appreciate after walking our legs off... Blackout blinds keep out heat as well as light. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly beyond belief. We stay here three or four times a year after each visit we look forward to our next visit.

4 stars for value, three for cleaning. We wanted a place to stay that could accommodate a family of 4 near to theatres for under $200 a night and this fit the bill. Its pretty basic in terms of furniture and some of the complaints that other posters have made are true. Cleaning is basic -the unit was clean however it was not brilliant. We lost something and in looking under everything to try and find it we uncovered a lot of dust, lost bits and pieces of food etc that thorough cleaning should pick up. Furniture is basic too but does the job, I found the bed okay and we had sufficient towels and toiletries for our two night stay for 4 people. Its a bit of a walk from the front desk and you share the place with residents but that's okay. (or maybe, they share the place with you!). There's a food hall thats directly underneath, its nothing fancy but adequate, not open in the evening but does left over lunch in dinner boxes for not much if you're early enough and the hotel is right at the start of Chinatown. It was fine for our needs

Yes, the location is fantastic for it's proximity to theaters, Chinatown and even Lygon St but the distinct insensitivity towards guest requirements is astonishing in it's shameless disregard for clients paying 5 star prices for grotty stained carpet, smelly rooms which have not been updated for many years. Points to note: We asked for a foldaway bed in our apartment so my wife could move to the lounge when I snored during the night, we were quoted $55.00 per night for the bed, no thanks! We requested a late check out owing to our late departure flight @ 5.30, we were told 11.00am would be the latest otherwise a full day charge would apply. This, after a 4 night stay @ $385.00 per night and normal checkout time being 10.00am! A one hour extension classed as a late check out! Thank you very much for your business Mr & Mrs tourist! The TV was at least 15 years old, the showers have flow controllers on them to the point where a trickle is the best that can be achieved, the windows don't close properly to keep the traffic noise out, I could go on but I think enough said! One of the poorest attitudes from a hospitality business I have seen anywhere in the world, these people are in the wrong business and should re-consider the used car sales business more appropriate to their business model! Very cheap purveyors of inflated prices.
