Five stars? That must be a typo. Don't be deceived by the elegant lobby with its beautiful artwork, stunning floral arrangements, luxury pearl boutique, plush furnishings and welcoming reception staff. Sadly, that's where the five-star experience ends. At around $800 per night with no breakfast included, we expected a premium stay. Instead, we found a room that resembled a corrugated caravan park cabin (although I understand that's part of the Broome aesthetic), with a very tired interior and poor maintenance throughout. The cupboard doors were broken and stained, the bathroom sliding door was off its hinges and wouldn't close, and the shower had visible mould. The drinking glasses were dirty, and the tiny bottle of body wash was barely enough for one person. We were provided with just one small bath towel each and no hand towels, which felt very disappointing for a hotel charging this price. The room was also extremely noisy. Loud music continued late into the evening, we could clearly hear plumbing from neighbouring rooms, and both the air conditioner and bathroom exhaust fan rattled constantly. To make matters worse, we left our room at 8:30 am for a day tour and returned at 3:00 pm to find it hadn't been serviced. This property has an impressive lobby, but the rooms and overall guest experience fall well short of five-star standards. Based on our experience, we would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Cable Beach Club Resort; we could not have been more disappointed. Our room was incredibly average, with very noisy air-conditioning, fan, and refrigerator. There was also a lot of noise coming from the room above. As a light sleeper, this was disastrous. The shower was really dirty and mouldy. Dinner at the bar and grill was mediocre and expensive. One of the waitstaff arrived at our table with starters that we had not ordered. We sent them away. We were subsequently followed up by another waitstaff who claimed that we had ordered them. I found this to be very poor service, as we had not ordered them. Breakfast was really good, and the breakfast staff were warm, friendly, and efficient. There are significant earthworks going on around the resort, between the breakfast restaurant and the sea, that significantly detract from the ambience and the experience. We were not informed of this during the booking process. At checkout, we were presented with an incorrect final statement, which was rectified without argument. The cost to stay here is very high; we felt it was an obscene waste of money.

Staff were great, some of the amenities in the room were not working properly, however once we let the staff know they did their best to sort it out immediately-couldn't have been more helpful. Location is great, will be better once the foreshore upgrade/construction works are completed, though they did not impede on the enjoyment of the resort facilities
