Rose Hotel

I went to the Rose hotel on a recommendation for a good dinner…. Well that turned bad! I order a beer and the porterhouse steak special, rare with garlic prawns! I finished my beer and was severed a dish that was not mine! So I went to the bar to inform them! I was told by the barmaid that she had forgot to put my table number down (this should have told me everything) So I was ok mistake happen! Another beer still no dinner! So I ended up cancelling my dinner after waiting an hour! And all I got was sorry we are busy! One dish, not a table of 10! But I ordered pizza from the Italian restaurant down the road… amazing and quick

When we picked this place, we found Bunbury seemed to have quite high prices for accommodation and this place offered a $25 dinner voucher which seemed good value. The room itself is a standard motel style room but has most of the basics EXCEPT no hairdryer which I find is usually standard these days. We used our voucher for dinner at the restaurant which was lovely - it was parmy night at the portions were huge -we could easily have shared one between two. Parking is tight but we managed to get one in the parking lot. However parking is also the main noise factor. We were woken by cars leaving early for work (its popular with tradie types), the garbage truck arrived some time after 5am and then the linen trolley and truck arrived around 6am. Also surprisingly, our fridge seemed to make banging noises at regular intervals through the night, not the usual hum, but actual bangs. So, a goodish stay but noisy.

Nice, freshly cooked lunch. Had one of the lunch specials, reasonable pricing. Quick service even though quite a few people around. Wine level a bit under second time in a row. Place being refurbished but still easily accessible. Food well cooked.
