There is very little choice here, not a great place to spend a night. E very thing feels rundown. We booked a room because there was no campsite in Halls Creek. It's distance from Broome and Kununurra means it's the only logical place to stop. But it's a place that lacks investment and customer care. We had a small box room, we called Cell 101! Everything was past its sell by date. The quilt was stained and torn in places, the sheets were stained and moth eaten. There is nowhere to eat on a Sunday, HC does have the Kimberly Hotel not stayed can't comment but we had a camping car so needed parking for that. The manager told us it is not safe to walk to KH, so stayed where we were and cooked in the van, we had things to eat fortunately. This place could be a Ray of light in the outback with a bit of investment. Put some electric hook ups in it would double your business, paint the rooms and fix everything that is broken. Remove the 2mtr corrugated sheets that bar the entrance to 2 blocks. Think about what it looks like from a Travellers point of view and not totally your pocket. That's enough you get the gist.

Ok where do we start. We were there with s tour group. The rooms were clean tidy shower hot. Have no complaints about the room. Food was ok nothing flash. Who doesn’t like a bowl of green applefor fruit salad. It was either a Tuesday or Wednesday we were there overnight. apparently it was pension day quite busy lots of people drunk by 7pm. Little kids who, should be in bed what do they do when mum and dad go to bed passed out no supervision.I’m not saying that every one in the town was there not everyone drinks alcohol. I felt unsafe I’ve lived in a community where alcohol is a problem and being told not to go back to the rooms on your own. Well thats a red flag.People were out the front of the rooms yelling and fighting. Cursing. I’m Not blaming the hotel. If I had a choice drive as far away from this town. This is an ongoing problem. Thats my opinion. I could go on and on. But I won’t if as a traveller you are desperate then yes. But remember not on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. 🫣
