Crown Promenade Perth

Should be called Beanie not Crown. Had a ball to attend at the crown complex this weekend, so we could relax and not worry about getting home(we are Perth locals) I thought we would stay the night. As all three hotels are basically in the same complex, we selected the Promenade. What a rip off. Almost $350 a night, with an early check-in at 1pm (normal 3pm) for an extra $150. Want breakfast, sorry restaurant doesn’t do that you will need to go to one of the other Hotels for breakfast @ $60 per head and it closes at 10.30, or you can sit at a lounge chair in the lobby and have à la carte but they only have one kitchen that also does Room Service and there was a 40 min + wait. TV in our room was very dark and not adjustable, lights were non adjustable and very dim especially in the bathroom for my wife to do her makeup. We were on ground floor almost next door to the pool, but had a wonderful view of an enclosed car park where the staff went for there smoke breaks. Carpet was tired, and air-con ineffective. Check in and checkout, you were pushed to do this on line and the staff acted like you were inconveniencing them if you required help. It took 45 mins and a phonecall for our bags to be delivered the 20m to our room by a disinterested staff member. I would say this hotel is kept alive by the lower end of the Asian gambling market. Would I go back. NEVER. Would I recommend it to any of my non Perth or overseas friends. NO

Stayed overnight in room 312 in May 2026. Very friendly and welcoming reception. Room was usual standard - clean and comfortable. Shower over the bath and nice shampoo/body wash. View of the carpark across the road. Only downside, the bathmat supplied was tattered with a large hole in it (not a good look). I returned it to reception so it didn't end up back in circulation. Dined at Market and Co (separate review) - very nice meals but the table service was lacking.

Great hotel on the Crown complex at Burswood, just a couple of stops on the train from the city centre. So easy to get in and out on the train. Great breakfast at the Crown plaza, a quick 5 minute walk to the adjacent hotel. Excellent buffet selection, not enough days to try everything! Good food court if you’re on a budget.
